© People to People International Greater Phoenix, Arizona Chapter 2010 World Wide conferences bring about many wonderful friendships and beneficial cultural exchanges. Ruriko Nakajima is one of the great friends we have made. We have worked with her for the past few years in arranging many exchanges between our chapter and those in Japan. Individuals traveled to each of our chapters and found warm welcomes. In May/June of 2007, 12 students and 4 teachers visited the Kikugawa, Japan chapter as a Joint Venture between Creighton Elementary School District our Greater Phoenix, Arizona Chapter and them.  In March of 2008 our chapter hosted 10 Kikugawa students and 5 adults. Though their time with us was short, we enjoyed showing them sights of Arizona. June of 2008 brought about another exchange program between the Ogaki Chapter and a Joint Venture between Creighton Elementary School District and our Greater Phoenix, Arizona Chapter.   Now we have so many more friends in Japan, thanks to Ogaki’s Mr. Ito and Mrs. Tokida !  We have really enjoyed these years of visiting each other.  It is our hope these reciprocal exchanges with them will continue for many years.
